In the first quarter of 2025, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Ireland showed varying trends in downloads and active user metrics. Here's a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, beginning with approximately 4.4K downloads at the start of January and decreasing to around 2.6K in the second week. The downloads peaked again at over 3.8K mid-February before settling at about 3.5K by the end of March. Active users started the quarter at 81.1K, dipped to about 56.9K in late January, and then rose to finish at 61.1K.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw relatively stable weekly downloads, starting at 2.1K and ending at approximately 1.8K. Active users showed a decline from 19.4K at the beginning of the quarter to about 14.4K by the end of March, with some fluctuations in between.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery had a modest download range, with numbers starting at 940 and dropping to 713 by the end of March. However, active users saw a steady increase from 40.6K at the start of the quarter to 41.8K at the end.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a consistent download rate, ranging from 474 to 339 over the quarter. Active users gradually increased from 5.7K to 5.8K by the end of March.

Finally, Careem – rides, food & more had download numbers that started at 309 and ended at 256. Active users showed some volatility, beginning at 442 and fluctuating throughout the quarter, ending with 348.
